Day Of Action for Brandon Johnson

Join us on Saturday, 11/19, joint Day of Action for Brandon Johnson for Mayor!

We’ll have the chance to join our ally Northwest Side IPOs (33WWF, UN35, 39WNU, 30U) for a combined Day of Action next Saturday. Details are still being finalized, but it’s looking like we’ll gather to hear from movement electeds and Brandon late morning before breaking before noon to hit the doors, collect signatures, and help get him on the ballot. If you haven’t knocked a door before, no problem—there will be plenty of experienced folks on hand, and plenty of comrade-erie!

Want to help out? Fill out this FORM! You can also sign up to help collect signatures through the November 28th deadline. Don't forget to request a window sign while you're there.

Election Results

United Northwest Side was proud to endorse a host of important progressive campaigns and candidates at the ballot box this election cycle, and we're proud to announce that every one of these was approved by voters.

Illinois voters protected collective bargaining through the Workers' Rights Amendment, made important investments in our natural resources in the Cook County Forest Preserves, and strongly supported the Treatment Not Trauma campaign to reinvest in our city's mental health services.

Local progressives Delia Ramirez, Anthony Joel Quezada, and Cristina Pacione-Zayas were elected to serve in Cook County, Springfield, and Washington, and UNS members helped turn out the vote to defend reproductive rights in the state and preserve Democratic control of the Illinois Supreme Court. When we fight, we win!

Doing the Work

United Northwest Side members put in over 100 hours of campaign support work for our endorsed candidates this election cycle and we are proud to have worked toward important progressive primary victories - like those of Delia Ramirez (US Congress, 3rd District), Anthony Joel Quezada (8th District Cook County Commissioner), and Cristina Pacione-Zayas (Illinios Senate, 20th District). Northwest Side voters overwhelmingly chose candidates who have fought for and defended progressive values, from reproductive rights to environmental justice to affordable healthcare and more.
